This insulation can be used on new buildings but is also well suited to renovation projects. For example on a 1930’s rendered property, the render would be removed. The panels fixed to the exterior of the building and then finally rendered over the top again. This will increase the wall depth by only a few millimetres which will mean there should be no need to alter window reveals etc and the look of the building will not be altered. In this case all the work can be carried out without the building being vacated.
If the building needs to retain its natural look, then the insulation can be applied internally to the rooms. Because of the thin nature of the panels very little room space is lost. In previous more traditional methods the loss of room space can be prohibitive making the project non-viable.
