Air Source Heat Pump

Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)s absorb the heat at a low temperature from the outside environment, which is then turned into a liquid and sent into a compressor where it is heated to a higher temperature and transferred into the heating and hot water systems around the home.

The benefits in using ASHPs are:

  • Uses a renewable source (so no need for fuel deliveries) therefore will sustain continuous heat

  • Do not pollute the environment

  • Very little maintenance is needed

  • Can provide an income with Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)

The Air Source Heat Pump does not take up a great deal of room as it can either be fitted tot he ground or wall mounted but does need an area around it so that a constant air flow can be reached at all times.
