Buildings are manufactured in sections at the Roland Hill factory, transported to site, and assembled with minimal disruption. Because much of the construction takes place off-site in the factory, groundworks and site preparation can often run in parallel while the building is being manufactured. Recent Modular Projects
Bespoke School Kitchen and Dining Building – Cumbria
Roland Hill delivered a fully bespoke modular kitchen and dining building for a Cumbrian school. The building features a spacious servery connecting the kitchen and dining room, natural light throughout, modern ventilation, and energy-efficient service systems.
Externally, cedar cladding and through-coloured render were chosen to compliment the school's original Victorian architecture. An accessible entrance ramp with stainless steel handrails and glass balustrades was included as part of the build. Major on-site works excluding demolition of the previous kitchen were completed in seven weeks from groundworks to handover.
